Christmas Time

It has been forever since I have updated, so I thought I'd make a short post with some pictures from the holidays. We, as always, got a little too spoiled. We had a lot of fun spending time with both of our families. Its a little crazier being married and having two families to visit on Christmas. And of course we went with both families on Christmas Eve and both families on Christmas day. It was great! :)

For my work party we went to a jazz game. We had dinner before the game and they gave us shirts to wear down on the floor to make a tunnel for the players to run through. It was a lot of fun.

Here is all of us with Matt Harpring before the game.
Our amazing tunnel.
Brenton and me with our beautiful gingerbread house.
CHRISTMAS

Brenton and I couldn't wait til Christmas morning to open our gifts from eachother, so we each picked one to open on Christmas eve.

My favorite gift ever... heated throw. Love it! My husband knows me well.

OCTOBER FUN!

Brenton and I had so much fun this October going to USU games, dressing up, going to parties, and just hanging out. We have such wonderful families and friends and have enjoyed all of the time that we have been able to spend with them since we've been back.

Here's a picture of Brenton and me at a USU football game. It is so weird to actually be able to sit in the audience and just watch the game. Its good though. I love being able to go to them with Brenton.

My mom and Debbie decided to take the dance girls to Thriller this year for their Halloween party, so of course Brenton and I went with them. It was fun... except the little munchkins
sitting behind us wanted to talk quite loudly the whole time, so we had to move at intermission. ;)
Gotta love Kapri...

On the closing night of the Cache Valley pumpkin walk Brenton and I decided we needed to go, so Kapri came with us and we got up there right before it was time to close... Perfect timing to go through it without having to wait for or walk around everyone else.
We got quite a bit of snow this day...
MJ!
Yeah somebody really carved Pres. Monson in a pumpkin! Amazing! I have to use the stencils and my pumpkins still don't look very good.

The weekend before Halloween my parents had a Halloween party for us. These are our amazing costumes. :)
Two cute little lady bugs
I was teaching solos when Brenton got ready for the party so he had to do his makeup by himself. When I got on the computer later that night there was an internet window pulled up that read "How to Apply Eyeliner." Love him! :) haha

On Halloween night our married friends had a little party. We had dinner then played games. Even though we really sucked at the Newlywed Game, we had a lot of fun.

After searching around pretty much all day this is what we ended up being...
a cow and a white trash farmer. :)

Fall in Utah... Love it!

Brenton and I have been back from Pennsylvania for almost two months now. It has gone by so fast! We are now living in Providence by the new Wal-Mart in a Blackhawk condo. We love living down here. It is such a nice area. I am working for my brother-in-law (Dr. Jared White) and his dad at White Dental in Tremonton and also teaching dance while going to school part-time. I love it... I have the PERFECT schedule right now! Brenton is going to school full-time and working at Dominos as a delivery boy (I need to post pics of him in his sweet outfit). :)

We have been having so much fun since we got back. Here is a few (quit a few) pics of what we have been up to.

I told Brenton he had to ride at least one ride with me at the fair and the Orbiter was the pick. When the ride started going we still hadn't been able to get our lap bar hooked in and we thought we were going to die, but a kid across from us saw and made the guy stop the ride for us. The worker wasn't too happy about it... but we are still alive! :)
Going for a Sunday ride on Brenton's 4-wheeler in Clarkston
LABOR DAY WEKEND
The first couple days of Labor Day weekend we went camping with my family up to Oneida in Idaho. It was a lot of fun.
Yep... his bum crack is always hanging out!
My sisters sitting by the fire
Teige... such a stinker, but so dang cute!
Notice the smore in Brenton's hand is between two chocolate chip cookies instead of graham crackers... he was so excited to make it. :)
Brenton dove off the dock into water that was a little bit shallow... luckily this is all that happened.
Joe Dirt?
After a couple days in Oneida we drove a little more north to spend the rest of the long weekend with the Atkinsons in Yellowstone.
Most of us...
Even though the signs say to stay on the boardwalk, I had to find out just how hot the shallow water on the ground was... not even as warm as my bathtub.
Old Faithful... hardly worth the two hour wait.
We couldn't hold it long enough to wait in line for the women's restroom... and of course there was no line for the men's, so we used it instead.

A few weeks ago Karly & Greg, Kylan & a date, and Brenton & I went down to my uncle Kerry's pond and went fishing. Kylan was pretty much the only one who caught anything, but it was a lot of fun.

Greg was the only one who could take the fish off the hooks.
The HUGE bass that Kylan caught.
Hanging out on the fishing boat...
Don't worry, I didn't catch anything but seaweed...

One night we got together with our good friends Caleb & Kristine and Kylan & Gwen and went ice blocking on Old Main Hill. We got grass stains all over our clothes and a couple battle wounds, but it was a BLAST! I think I only made it all the way to the bottom of the hill once...

Goodbye Philly...

Well, since the summer is pretty much over and I'm already home, I decided I should probably post some pictures of our adventures in downtown Philadelphia. Enjoy!

There's quite a few old cobblestone roads in downtown Philly.
City Hall
Love Park
Pretty fountain outside the Philly Art Museum
Overlooking the Schuylkill River and the boathouses
We loved the statues around the Art Museum... as you will be able to tell.
The boys...
The view of the city from the top of the Rocky steps at the Art Museum
For months Brenton talked about getting a picture punching the Rocky statue... he finally did it.
More statues...
Tomb of an Unkown Soldier in Philly
Independence Hall
Liberty Bell

One day I was kind of having a hard time (feeling a little home sick and just sick of sitting around all day every day by myself with nothing to do), so Brenton decided to take a day of and spend some time with me. The Cubs were in town so we decided to get tickets and go watch them play the Phillies. It was so much fun to be able to spend a whole day with him and actually go do something. As for the game... it would have been a lot better if the Cubs didn't suck that night. Good thing Brenton wore his Phillies shirt (even though he was secretly cheering for the cubs). :)
Brenton told me I had to get a hot dog at a baseball game, so here are our huge, sick-looking wieners.

Intercourse, PA (AKA Amish Country)

About 45 minutes from our apartments there is a town called Intercourse. We found the name to be quite interesting, but it became even more interesting when we found out that it was an Amish town. We had never seen Amish people before we moved out here so we decided to go to Intercourse to see how they live. Driving through was gorgeous. Everything was so green and so well taken care of. The men were out farming and the women were out taking care of their beautiful gardens. They are definitely hard workers. I was pretty surprised when I saw their houses because I assumed they all lived in little cottages, but some of them had really big, nice houses. We could pretty much tell which houses were owned by Amish families though because most didn't have porch lights and their laundry was always hanging in the back yard. :)

Anyway here are some pics we took on our trips to Intercourse...
They use horses rather than tractors to farm.
SHARE THE ROAD
Yep these buggies actually have blinkers for them to signal when they turn... thought that was pretty sweet. :)

We went to a place called Kitchen Kettle Village that has a bunch of little shops, canning kitchens, and a small petting zoo. Our favorite was the Jam & Relish Kitchen. They had a ton of yummy stuff and you can just walk around and taste everything. The Amish make some good food!

They had this fake cow that you could milk and some watery stuff came out into the bucket... of course I had to try it.
At the petting zoo they had a llama that people can feed and pet. It was probably the ugliest thing I've ever seen.I thought this sign was kind of funny...

I was a little bit nervous to feed it.
Brenton loved it.
The souvenirs were great... we got an I love Intercourse magnet. :)

4th of July/Kapri's visit

Well I haven't updated for a while, so this is going to be a long post with lots and lots of pictures.
On the 4th of July Celeste, me, and some of the other wives (Tasha, Stacy, and Cherise) decided to go to the Norristown parade in the morning. It was about 30 minutes long and consisted of a SEPTA bus, 2 clowns, the ENTIRE fire department and every fire truck in the county, and a few horses at the end. We still had a good time though. And anything to get us out of the house while the boys are selling is great. :)
Brinley's first time eating sugar... she sure loved it!

Brinley was begging for Brenton at dinner and as soon as I gave her to him she was so happy. It was so cute.

After dinner the we decided to go behind our apartment complex and light some of our own fireworks rather than putting up with Philadelphia traffic to go see the fireworks downtown. It was fun except Celeste and I didn't get the coolest fireworks... OOPS. We told the boys that they are in charge of getting them next year since they kept complaining. :)

Since Kapri is the only one at home right now, Cody decided to fly her out here for a weekend to hang out with us. The first day she was here we just kind of sat around and relaxed. We played games, went to the pool, and made muddy buddies (so good!). Then the other two days we took her to the beach and to the Philly zoo.

Brin with Kapri's glasses on. Normally she would have ripped them right off, but this time she just sat there and stared at us. It was so cute!

We also put Brenton's hat on her and she still just sat there contently.

We love our Sunday evening BBQs by the pool.

Someone told us that the Delaware beaches are less crowded that Ocean City, so we made the two hour drive to Rehoboth Beach to find that it was actually more crowded, and also more dirty, than Ocean City. Oh well... we still had a good time!

A bad attempt to get a good picture of the 3 of us...

The boys trying to get a good tan... Yes Brenton is wearing my sunglasses. He forgot his (imagine that). :)

AMERICA'S FIRST ZOO- opened 150 years ago!

I didn't know polar bears could live in the heat and humidity here... apparently they can.

There were peacocks running around everywhere.

You can't really see it, but that is an alligator behind us.

Brin sitting in front of a huge turtle.

These were the coolest monkeys I've ever seen... pictures don't really do them justice though.

Naked mole rats- So ugly!

MY BEAUTIFUL LITTLE DANCER

In my family I've always been known as the "kitchen dancer" and... well... my husband is quite the little kitchen dancer also. He was dancing around the kitchen the other morning before his meeting and I somehow talked him into letting me video a little bit of it, so I just wanted to share this... (sorry it is sideways)
